Monday, 26 January 2015 15:58

CC500 said “five zero zero” is the telephone number of the center, which began operating since January, 2015. Calls to this number are free. It is accessible by all telephone networks, both mobile and fixed. The Call Centre was established for the benefit of taxpayers to help them have quick and easy access to all tax and customs information.

It is still in its pilot phase for two months, operates from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, and receives daily 25 calls on average. After the pilot phase, it will be officially launched and will extend its daily working hours. The Second Deputy-President of the Republic Gervais Rufyikiri went to see the center during his visit on 20 January 2015 in the OBR. He was with the TMEA Country Representative in Burundi, Mrs. Anthe Vrijlandt and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the OBR Mr. Olivier Suguru. All said they were satisfied with this innovation in the OBR. The Call Center of the OBR was funded by TMEA with the support of USAID.
